Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The AFC disciplinary committee investigated the incident during the match between the youth teams of Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan in the qualifying round of the Asian Championship U-19 in November. Then a letter was sent to AFU informing that during the match, the coaches of the youth team of Uzbekistan behaved unprofessionally and that they could be disqualified for the next matches.

After the AFU Executive Committee watched the video recording of the incident, it was decided to dismiss the entire coaching staff of the youth team of Uzbekistan under 19 years old, headed by head coach Otabek Gulyamkhodjaev.

The youth team of Uzbekistan today was led by one of the most famous players in the past - Temur Kapadze. Temur Kapadze will prepare the youth team for the final stage of the Asian Championship, which will be held in Tashkent on 14-31 October 2020.

A preparation plan for the upcoming competition has already been developed for our U-19 team. According to the schedule, the preparation date of the U-19 team does not coincide with the calendar of the national team of Uzbekistan in the days of FIFA. Therefore, Timur Kapadze will have the opportunity to continue working as an assistant head coach of the national team of Uzbekistan.
