Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Temu, an international e-commerce platform that connects buyers directly with manufacturers, has signed a strategic agreement with JSC "Uzbekiston Pochtasi" (UzPost), the national postal operator of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to improve delivery quality and increase Temu’s service accessibility for customers throughout the country.
The partnership, which began in December 2024, combines Temu’s innovative business model with UzPost’s developed logistics capabilities and extensive network, which includes over 1,600 branches across Uzbekistan. As the national postal operator, UzPost offers unique opportunities to enhance "door-to-door" delivery, providing Temu’s customers with convenient access to quality products at competitive prices.
"UzPost always strives to be closer to its customers, and our partnership with Temu is an important step in that direction," said Alisher Fayzulloev, CEO of UzPost. "We are pleased that our services meet the public’s needs and are becoming an integral part of the daily lives of the citizens of Uzbekistan, simplifying the process of receiving orders and providing additional convenience for all users."
As part of the agreement with Temu, a flexible "home delivery" service has been introduced, allowing customers to receive parcels directly at their doorstep in regions where this option is available.
"Our mission is to make quality products accessible to more consumers around the world," said a representative from Temu. "Partnering with UzPost allows us to improve the customer experience by offering a reliable and efficient delivery system."
Since its launch in Uzbekistan in August 2024, Temu has rapidly gained popularity among consumers, thanks to its direct supply model, which offers a wide range of products at competitive prices. By eliminating intermediaries and their associated costs, Temu is able to offer lower prices without compromising on quality. According to Appfigures, by December 2024, Temu had become the most popular shopping app in Uzbekistan on both the App Store and Google Play.
Launched in September 2022, the Temu platform offers affordable products in over 80 countries worldwide. In 2024, Temu ranked among the top Apple apps and became one of the most visited e-commerce platforms globally.
