Tehran Denies Trump’s Claim of Ceasefire Agreement with Israel

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has denied U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement regarding an alleged ceasefire agreement between Tehran and Tel Aviv.

In a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Araghchi stressed that no formal agreement for a ceasefire or cessation of hostilities currently exists.

He stated that Iran would only consider halting retaliatory strikes if Israel immediately stopped its aggression.

“If the Israeli regime ceases its unlawful aggression against the Iranian people by no later than 4:00 a.m. Tehran time, we will not pursue further retaliatory action,” the minister declared.

However, Araghchi emphasized that no final decision on halting military operations had been made.

Later, he reported that Iranian forces continued their operations until the designated deadline — 4:00 a.m. Tehran time.

These remarks came just hours after Donald Trump claimed that Israel and Iran had reached a ceasefire agreement, which would lead to the official end of a 12-day armed conflict.
