Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan has developed a list of 40 types of light work permitted for temporary employment of minors under 18 during the summer period and outside school hours.

The list includes in-demand and health-safe jobs for teenagers such as waiter, salesperson, hairdresser, packer, assistant in agricultural work, as well as loader positions with restrictions on the permissible weight of lifted loads. The ministry emphasized that these types of employment should not negatively affect the educational process or the physical health of minors.

The agency also reminded that for employing teenagers aged 15 to 16, written consent from parents or legal guardians is required. Employers, in turn, are obliged to ensure safe working conditions and bear full responsibility for any harm caused to the minor’s health while performing their job duties.
