Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution “On measures to organize a specialized technological park of information technologies in Andijan region”.

The Resolution took into account that in order to develop the IT industry and the production of software products, support start-ups and improve the investment environment, increase the interest of young people in the ICT field, promote learning the basics of programming, e-commerce in Andijan region:

the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers from 20 November 2019 No. 921 envisages the creation of 16 training centers for digital technologies;

On the basis of the Andijan Professional College of Information Technologies, the Andijan Technopark “Digital City” was created. It is transferred as an object of state property free of charge to the operational management of the khokimiyat of the Andijan region. The Technopark is managed by the Digital City Directorate.

The main objectives and activities of the technopark are:

in order to provide the technopark with orders, form a portfolio of local orders for the implementation of priority projects of software products created for organizations in the region

development of competitive products and services in the field of ICT, their promotion in the domestic and foreign markets;

integration of the activities of scientific, research, educational and industrial organizations to ensure the continuity of the production chain of high-tech products and services;

assistance to start-ups and small businesses in the implementation of start-up projects in the ICT field, in the commercialization of the results of innovation

assistance to national developers in attracting domestic and foreign investors, including through the transfer of technologies and software products;

development of "digital entrepreneurship" through the introduction of digital technologies in agriculture and water management, education, health care, banking and others.

The sources of financing for the organization of the technopark are the local budget of the khokimiyat of the Andijan region, funds from the organization of paid training courses and other activities of the technopark, as well as other sources not prohibited by law.
