Technonicol Corporation to build its first plant in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Technonicol Corporation (Russia) is launching an investment project in Uzbekistan. It is planned that a new plant for the production of thermal insulation materials from extruded polystyrene foam (XPS) will start operating in the city of Angren in the third quarter of 2024.

The capacity of the enterprise will be about 300 thousand cubic meters of finished products per year. The volume of investments in the project will exceed 1.3 billion rubles (or 160 billion soums).

The growth rate of the construction industry in Uzbekistan is one of the highest in the CIS. Only over the past seven years, the volume of construction has increased more than 4 times — from 30 to 131 trillion soums, and in the first half of this year it reached 68 trillion soums. Active construction rates stimulate the development of the construction materials market. Last year alone, the real growth in production was 5%.

"The company will provide the construction market of Uzbekistan with modern, reliable and high–quality materials, the need for which is felt in the region," commented Sergey Kolesnikov, co-owner and managing partner of Technonicol. – In addition, the launch of new capacities will increase the availability of products on the Republic’s market, as well as establish exports to neighboring states: Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan – where there is also a great potential for the development of the construction industry."

The Technonicol investment project envisages the construction of a factory and a warehouse for storing products, as well as the installation of an asphalt site of about 1.5 hectares. The company will produce a full range of XPS plates with a thickness of 20 to 120 mm, designed for insulation of foundations, buried structures, floors, facades, roofs and other building structures.

The company will move to the active stage of construction at the beginning of next year. With the launch of the new enterprise, about 50 high-performance jobs will appear in Angren.
