The plant, located 40 kilometers south of Qarshi, Kashkadarya region, will be based on Sasol’s world leading GTL technology.

Operations and engineering center of Technip in Rome, Italy, will execute the contract with the support of the company’s center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Uzbekistan GTL LLC is a JV company incorporated in Uzbekistan by Uzbekneftegaz, Uzbekistan state owned oil and gas company, Sasol Synfuels International, Sasol Group South Africa, and Petronas, a company fully owned by the Malaysian government. This venture has been recently created to build a GTL products unit in Uzbekistan.
