Teachers learn interactive teaching methods
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- "Boomerang”, “Score”, “Map of Reason" "Labyrinth" "Stairway ("zinama-zina")", "Role play games" – all these expressions seem to be drawn from children's games, well they are not - this is the name of interactive teaching methods that are widely used today in the training of highly qualified teachers-coaches.

A one week of training, which will be held from 19 to 24 March 2012, in the "Iste'dod" foundation in Tashkent city will focus on innovative technologies in education. It will bring together about 20 trainers of the Training Center under the Ministry of Finance, Banking and Finance Academy and Tashkent Financial Institute.

The organizers of the training are the UNDP "Budget System Reform in Uzbekistan" Project, Training Center of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and "Istedod" Foundation.

Since 2007 UNDP is continuing its support to Uzbekistan in reforming its Public Financial Management system. The success of these reforms depends on adequate human resource capacities at the ministries and departments, their knowledge and skills to apply new procedures and standards of planning.

In this regard, the Project is promoting the Training Center under the Ministry of Finance through the development of teaching aids, thematic courses, and certified trainers who can continue their studies with a wider coverage of specialists at the regional level.

This training is a logical continuation of a series of trainings on interactive teaching methods, which were held for teachers of the Training Center, with the assistance of international and local experts.Remarkably, this training was also recommended by an international expert in the strategy to improve the quality of training, which was proposed to introduce a number of deeply interactive learning methods in order to improve the quality of education in general.

And if the previous training sessions focused on the theoretical skills, this time the participants will learn new methods of interactive learning, where they will be given the opportunity to engage in the learning process and to achieve real outcomes.

As instructors at the training "On Innovative Technologies in Education" coaches from the Foundation of the President RU "Iste'dod" have been invited.

According to one of the participants of the previous training on interactive teaching methods Shoira Mirzakhidova, materials, developed during the training are actively used in lectures and seminars."We provide training and retraining of staff of financial agencies, and given that most of our students are from the regions, they have a real opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues from other regions through interactive teaching methods – Sh.Mirzahidova said. - In the future, students will be able to share the acquired skills and experience already in their places."
