Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Dozens of entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan have reported unjustified withdrawals from their bank accounts.

According to the State Tax Committee, the incident was caused by a technical glitch in the system.

The error resulted in incorrect information on tax arrears appearing in reconciliation statements, which triggered the automatic debiting of funds.

The agency stated that the situation is under control and technical specialists are already working to fix the issue. Authorities have pledged to return all erroneously withdrawn amounts and restore accurate account data.
