Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting of the leadership of the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan and a delegation of the National Tax Service of the Republic of Korea headed by its chief Han Sung-Hee was held at the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan.

It was noted at the meeting that during the visit of the President of the Republic of Korea to our country, the leaders of the two countries discussed the importance of strengthening ties in the humanitarian sphere, including in the sphere of information technology and education.

The guests were also presented with the reform of tax administration in Uzbekistan, in particular, foreign partners - experts from the IMF and the World Bank - were involved in the process.

In continuation of the meeting, the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan presented a presentation of tax administration and reforms in the field. In turn, the National Tax Service of the Republic of Korea presented its tax system and administration using IT technologies.

The parties stressed that there is no ideal tax system for each individual country, but the basic principle for all should be fair taxation for citizens.

Han Sung-Hee is confident that the reforms of tax administration in Uzbekistan will undoubtedly be successful. At the same time, he emphasized readiness for further cooperation and support in reforming the tax system.

The heads of tax services intend to share their experience in the field of tax administration, in particular in the areas of education and advanced training, as well as in the field of information technology.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Tax Service of the Republic of Korea. This document is the best possible answer to the areas of cooperation set by the heads of both states, and also makes a certain contribution to the development of relations between the two departments.
