Tax reform allowed to increase revenues of Tashkent region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Only resource taxes in January ensured budget revenues of 49.9 billion soums with a forecast of 29.3 billion soums, the press service of the State Tax Committee said.

One of the main directions of the Concept is the transfer of enterprises with an annual turnover (revenue) at the end of the previous year more than 1 billion soums or reached the established threshold during the year to pay the generally established taxes.

Initially, there were 1,491 such businesses in Tashkent region. After a full inventory, their number reached 2112. Of these, 366 enterprises are value added tax payers, 1,638 are standard VAT at a rate of 20 percent, 108 are business entities with an annual turnover of less than 1 billion soums and voluntarily transferred to the payment of VAT.

In addition, the transition to the payment of value-added tax was provided for 221 private entrepreneurs. All these measures will allow to additionally send 675 billion soums to the budget.

As part of the implementation of the Concept of Improving Tax Policy in the Area, all legal entities have been transferred to pay taxes on property, land and water. Their number is: for property taxes - 7886 (in 961 was 961), land - 7351 (in 2018 - 1466), water - 6173 (in 2018 - 349). As a result, resource taxes in January ensured receipt of 49.9 billion soums in the budget, while the forecast was 29.3 billion soums.
