Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Tax Committee of Uzbekistan has issued warnings to Tenge Bank and Kapitalbank for returning payment orders without execution. Reports of issues with sending payment orders have surfaced on social media.
The Committee stated that since September 2024, some commercial banks have switched to new information systems without notifying the Tax Committee, resulting in payment orders being returned unexecuted.
According to the Tax Committee, since the beginning of the month, Tenge Bank has returned 413 out of 2,439 orders, while Kapitalbank has returned 740 out of 4,287 orders.
The Interregional Tax Inspection for Large Taxpayers has sent official warnings to the banks, emphasizing the need to immediately address the deficiencies and warning of potential liabilities under the Tax Code.
