Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 March, Russian Trade Representative in Uzbekistan Konstantin Zlygostev held a working meeting with Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan German Lerner and General Director of the Khimgrad Technopolis Airat Gizzatullin.

The parties discussed the efficiency of the Chirchik industrial park, which has been operating in Uzbekistan since 2022, as well as the region's plans to open a second such site in the Jizzakh region.

In addition, during the meeting, preparations for the XIV International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum", which will be held in Kazan on May 18-20, 2023, were discussed.

Within the framework of the forum, it is planned to hold a separate session dedicated to the Russian-Uzbek business cooperation, which is expected to be about 100 companies - participants from the two countries.
