Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Decree of the President "On measures for the socio-economic development of the city of Tashkent until 2030" was adopted.

The main directions for the development of Tashkent until 2030:

ensuring stable economic growth through the implementation of mutually beneficial projects with business entities and the effective use of available resources;

transformation of the capital into one of the megacities with clean air and the creation of conditions for the recreation of residents and guests of the city by changing the appearance of parks of culture and recreation, squares, boulevards and a sharp increase in the number of green areas;

transformation of the capital into a territory that does not have problems in public services through the expansion and modernization of engineering and communication networks, as well as the creation of a more comfortable road infrastructure for the movement of people;

introduction of the principles of "smart" urban planning by coordinating construction on the basis of a unified approach and expanding social infrastructure in proportion to the volume of construction;

introduction of modern management based on key performance indicators, as well as the development of human resources through the creation of project offices in each direction in the khokimiyat system.

Target indicators for the development of the city of Tashkent until 2030 include:

inclusion of the city of Tashkent in the rating of the most convenient cities for living;

bringing the volume of gross regional product to 500 trillion soums;

implementation of projects in the field of industry and services in the amount of US$40 billion;

bringing the volume of exports of industry, services and tourism to US$7.5 billion;

expansion and complete modernization of engineering and communication networks;

creation of an additional 4,000 hectares of green areas.

The implementation of investment projects and the improvement of urban infrastructure based on mutually beneficial cooperation between the state and entrepreneurs in the capital will be introduced as a legal experiment until January 1, 2027.

The Business Infrastructure Development Fund under the Tashkent Khokimiyat was renamed the Tashkent City Development Fund. The sources of formation and directions of use of the Fund’s resources are determined.

The document provides for the creation of a joint-stock company "Toshkent Invest Company", which will act as a "bridge" between the state and entrepreneurs. 

The document approved:

the main activities of the Joint Stock Company "Company Tashkent Invest";

mechanisms for the implementation of projects by the Joint Stock Company "Company Tashkent Invest" and business entities on the basis of land plots.

  The decree approved the "Road Map" for the development of the city of Tashkent in 2023-2025.
