Tashkent to Launch First Night Buses by the End of 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The first red night buses are planned to start operating in Tashkent by the end of 2025, according to the Zamon news program.

The buses will serve 15 routes covering the airport, railway station, and tourist streets from 22:00 to 06:00, with an initial interval of 30 minutes between buses.

Allaёr Norbutaev, Head of the Main Department for Transport Development and Road Infrastructure of Tashkent, noted that the project will be implemented in two phases. The first phase will cover eight routes totaling 136 km using 31 buses, with an allocated budget of 19.1 billion soums. The second phase includes seven routes spanning 98 km with 23 buses, requiring 14.2 billion soums.

For convenience, the routes will be labeled with letters followed by numbers — T1, T2, T3, and so on. By the end of the year, route T1 will be launched, running from Khuseyn Boykaro Street in Bektimir district to the Kuylyuk market, then via Khonobodtepa Street.
