The main aim of the roundtable is to attract the best international and national experts to establish constructive dialogue on ensuring food security, sustainable development of agriculture and rational nutrition of population in current conditions of social-economic development of Uzbekistan and global trends in these spheres.

The results of the discussions will contribute to development of the draft concept on national policy in sustainable development of agriculture, food security and nutrition. The concept is currently developed by the Center for Economic Research, UN Food and Agriculture Organization, World Health Organization, UNICEF and other interested sides.

The roundtable should help to develop possible technical assistance projects on food security in Uzbekistan in cooperation with the international institutions.
