Tashkent to Host Key International Conference on AI and Fintech in Banking
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 June 2025, Tashkent will host the inaugural international conference "Key Tech: AI in Banks and Fintech" at the U-Enter venue. The event aims to become a central platform for exploring the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on Uzbekistan’s financial sector.
AI development is one of Uzbekistan’s strategic priorities. As outlined in the Presidential Decree of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the country is implementing a National AI Development Strategy through 2030, targeting the creation of a competitive digital economy and aiming to reach US$1.5 billion in AI-based software and digital services. Globally, the economic impact of generative AI is projected to reach US$350–600 billion by 2030, with approximately 20% of that expected from the banking sector.
Key Tech is supported by the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, IT Park Uzbekistan, the Central Asian AI Association (AICA), the Association of Banks of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan FinTech Association, and the Central Asian FinTech Association. Key technology partners include Huawei, specializing in global cloud and AI solutions, and Sarkor, a leader in digital infrastructure.
