Tashkent to host exhibition on Oman

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An opening ceremony of the exhibition “Far Oman becomes close” will be held at Tashkent State Museum of Timurids history on 9 September 2014, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Oman to Uzbekistan Mohammed bin Said al Lawati said.

The exhibition is dedicated to history and today of Oman. Art exhibits will tell about life of people of Oman.

Omani envoy said that the exhibition will last till 19 September 2014. The visitors can familiarize with history and current life of Oman, listen songs and music, and enjoy dances, presented by folk bands from Oman.

Mohammed bin Said al Lawati said this will be the first exhibition of Oman in Uzbekistan and in future it is planned to hold similar exhibition about Uzbekistan in Oman. Oman Folk Band will give two concerts in Tashkent.

Within the exhibition, it is planned to hold contest among four teams of Tashkent university. The winner will receive chance to travel to Oman, he said..
