Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 1 April 2025, a working meeting was held in Tashkent between the delegation of the CIS Executive Committee, led by the Deputy Secretary General of the CIS, I.T. Nematov, and the Acting Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sh.H. Ghulamov.

According to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee, during the talks, the sides discussed organizational matters regarding the upcoming meeting of the CIS Economic Council and the first Forum of Regions of CIS member states. These events are scheduled for 29 April 2025, and will take place in the capital of Uzbekistan.

The CIS Forum of Regions is a new multilateral platform created to strengthen interregional cooperation. Within this framework, representatives of the regions of CIS countries will discuss key aspects of economic, social, and humanitarian interaction.

The meeting and the Forum will be synchronized with the International Industrial Exhibition "INNOPROM. Central Asia," which will be held at the CAEx Uzbekistan International Exhibition Center, one of the largest and most technologically advanced venues in the region.

These initiatives highlight the growing role of Uzbekistan as a center for business and integration activities in Central Asia.
