Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Tashkent is set to build 10 new metro stations, according to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

During a visit to the High Town City complex, discussions focused on public transport development, including the expansion of the metro network.

Initially, plans were in place to extend the Tashkent metro to the Tashkent Tractor Plant, but the President instructed officials to revise the proposed projects and explore alternative solutions.

Under the updated plan, 10 new stations will be built along the route from Buyuk Ipak Yuli station to the Tashkent Tractor Plant. The new line will cover 30 mahallas (neighborhoods), providing convenient transport access for 148,000 residents.
