Tashkent region to transfer some territories to "New Tashkent"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The khokimiyat of the Tashkent region told how many hectares are given for the construction of "New Tashkent".

The new district will be located between the Chirchik and Karasu rivers at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level. Many social facilities will be built there. In addition, state institutions operating in the capital will gradually move to the New Tashkent district.

As noted in the khokimiyat of Tashkent region, land plots with a total area of 19.7 thousand hectares belonging to the Yukorichirchik and Urtachirchik districts will be given for the construction of a new district of the capital. Of these, 12.9 thousand hectares are agricultural land, the rest are lands of other categories.

It is noted that 772 objects are users of these lands. Among them are 242 farms and other agricultural enterprises operating on 1.3 thousand hectares.

There are also 49 greenhouses and subsidiary farms on 2.3 thousand hectares. There are 100 dekhkan farms on 3.2 thousand hectares. In addition, 600 hectares are in the reserve of the local hokimiyat.
