Tashkent Prepares for Celebrations of Uzbekistan’s 34th Independence Anniversary
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 and 31 August, Tashkent will host large-scale festive events and concert programs dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s Independence.
The celebrations will take place across all districts of Tashkent, beginning at noon at the Uzexpocenter in the Yunusabad district.
According to the city administration, from 6:00 PM, festivities will continue in the Bektemir, Mirabad, Sergeli, Olmazor, Uchtepa, Chilanzar, Shaykhantahur, and Yangihayot districts. Residents and visitors can expect vibrant concerts, show programs, and entertainment areas. The events will conclude with performances in the Mirzo-Ulugbek and Yashnabad districts, as well as at Dustlik Park in the Yakkasaray district, starting at 7:00 PM.
“We invite all residents and guests of the capital to join the celebrations and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Events like these unite city residents and create a sense of holiday spirit,” noted the Tashkent city administration’s press service.
Attendees will be able to enjoy a variety of concerts, themed shows, and cultural performances marking this key date in the nation’s history. The events will be held with all necessary safety measures in place, the city authorities emphasized.
