Tashkent police saves people who were on the street from freezing

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In recent days, Tashkent has been under the influence of a cold cyclone, which brought not only snow, but also frost to the territory of the republic.

At night, the thermometer approaches minus six degrees, and for the police officers there comes a difficult period when they are obliged, despite the weather conditions, to serve.

Employees of Tashkent police are patrolling the streets, inspecting the basements and entrances of multi-storey buildings, unfinished buildings, heating mains and other places where people without a fixed place of residence or who find themselves without a roof over their heads due to the circumstances can possibly hide from the cold.

Over the past 24 hours, 25 persons without a fixed place of residence were provided with assistance, they were given hot tea, warmed, fed and redirected for the night to the rehabilitation center of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate in Tashkent. Some of them needed medical assistance, which was provided by doctors who arrived.
