Tashkent Metropoliteni works on eliminating air conditioning system issues in subway cars

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State Unitary Enterprise Tashkent Metropoliteni, in collaboration with 15 specialists from the Russian company "Metrowagonmash," is addressing issues with the air conditioning system in subway cars.

Passengers of the Tashkent metro have been complaining about non-functioning cooling systems in the cars.

In response, the press service of Tashkent Metropoliteni reported that a special working group has been formed to address the shortcomings of the cooling system in trains operating on the surface line. The group includes 15 specialists from Russia.

These specialists are conducting systematic repairs and checks. Currently, there are 10 trains operating on the "Surface Circular Line," 8 of which were purchased this year and equipped with air conditioning systems capable of operating at temperatures up to +50°C.

The other two trains, imported to Tashkent in different years, are intended for operation at metro stations, and their cooling systems are designed for temperatures up to +40°C. Specialists are currently upgrading the cooling system settings of these trains.

"As a result of the work being carried out, the identified shortcomings will be completely eliminated in the coming days," stated the Tashkent Metro.
