Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Tashkent Metropolitan University (TMU) entered into a strategic partnership with GameDevHQ, a leading provider of software engineering education, to advance the training of future IT professionals, the university said in a statement.
This collaboration aims to elevate TMU’s Computer Science Department by integrating GameDevHQ’s expertise into the curriculum. The enhanced program will offer students comprehensive training in key programming languages and emerging technologies.
Starting in their sophomore year, students will receive instruction in C#, C++ and Unity, equipping them with the skills necessary for game development. After nine months of intensive training, they will be prepared to create their own games. In their third year, the focus will shift to Python and cybersecurity, providing a solid foundation in data protection and network security. Fourth-year students will delve into artificial intelligence, exploring its applications and implications in the modern tech landscape.
In addition to curriculum development, GameDevHQ plans to offer employment opportunities to TMU students. Qualified students may be hired after their second year, with a starting salary of at least $1,000 per month.

GameDevHQ, founded by Jonathan Weinberger, specializes in training software developers with a focus on Unity and C# programming. The company utilizes game development as a gateway to software engineering, preparing individuals for careers in various tech sectors.
