Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Uzbekistan headed by the rector of the Tashkent Medical Academy Alisher Shadmanov visited the Embassy of Uzbekistan in South Korea, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the conversation, the prospects for assisting the diplomatic mission in intensifying cooperation with South Korean partners in the field of medicine, including the implementation of major projects such as the improvement of the National Children’s Medical Center, accelerating the construction of the Adult Medical Center, as well as improving the skills of employees and students of the Tashkent Medical Academy in clinics of the Republic of Korea. The parties also discussed topical issues of establishing exchange programs in various areas.

In addition, the rector of the Tashkent Medical Academy informed about the meetings held during the visit at Tegu Hani University, Korea University, Busan National University, Sungshin University, Yonsei Prime Clinic and Asan Medical Center, as a result of which important agreements were reached on the exchange of medical staff and students. In particular, memorandums of understanding and cooperation were signed between the Tashkent Medical Academy and the Busan National University Clinic, Asan Medical Center and Tegu Hani University.
