Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to the Statistics Agency, in 2024, Tashkent recorded the highest gross regional product (GRP) among all regions of Uzbekistan. In current prices, its GRP reached an impressive 281.1 trillion soums.
Tashkent region ranked second with a GRP of 146.4 trillion soums, followed by Navoiy region in third place with 117.3 trillion soums.
Other regions, such as Samarkand (99.9 trillion soums), Fergana (91.3 trillion soums), and Andijan (90.5 trillion soums), also demonstrated significant economic activity, highlighting their growing contributions to the national economy.
On the lower end of the economic scale, Syrdarya region reported the smallest GRP at 28.0 trillion soums, while the Republic of Karakalpakstan recorded 45.7 trillion soums.
These figures reflect the dynamic development of various regions across the country and serve as a foundation for future economic forecasts and strategies aimed at enhancing financial and economic conditions in Uzbekistan’s provinces.
