Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- It is well known that various projects are being implemented in Tashkent to introduce ICT systems such as Safe City, Smart Meters, Smart Transport and Smart Medicine.

Today, work is underway on another project, Digital Tashkent, main goal of which is to ensure the wide and effective use of information and communication technologies in various fields.

This was discussed at a meeting organized in the capital’s khokimiyat with the participation of leading experts in the field. The participants paid particular attention to the introduction and prospects for the application of advanced technologies in all spheres, including financial and economic, medical, educational, housing, as well as tourist and transport systems.

It was noted that pilot projects are already being implemented in family polyclinics, and a number of software products have been implemented in the communal and transport systems.

Certainly, the introduction of the Digital Tashkent project will become a kind of source of new program resources and will allow the capital to become in the near future a wide platform for the use of information technologies.
