Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An online platform, projects.toshkentinvest.uz, has been launched in Tashkent to facilitate the sale or lease of land in mahallas.
The Tashkent khokimiyat announced that the platform operates on an auction basis and is integrated with the E-auksion platform.
Over 110 land plots designated for entrepreneurial and urban development activities are available on the platform.
The administration stated that all proceeds from the sale or lease of these lands would be directed to the development fund of the mahallas and districts.
Residents of the capital expressed concern over the sale of a 250 square meter plot in the "Yangi Sebzor" mahalla of the Almazar district, where a children’s playground was previously located. The starting price for the plot is 1.22 billion soums.
The khokimiyat responded by stating that new development projects for the mahallas, including the relocation of the playground, take into account the wishes of local residents. The master plan for the mahalla was developed with consideration of their requests. The playground will be moved to a safer location and will have updated surfaces and equipment.
As part of the "Obod Mahalla" program, plans also include upgrading lighting and irrigation systems, planting new trees and shrubs, and installing benches and other infrastructure elements.
