The Bulgarian delegation has for the first time exposed before Tashkent certain energy business matters, including the idea of a new gas pipeline. During the official visit it was also agreed that Bulgaria could well help Uzbekistan in getting closer to the EU.

It was also agreed that Bulgarian construction workers could take part in the building of major sites in Uzbekistan, including gas pipeline facilities. Bulgaria could also get access to exploring and exploiting gas fields there, too.
