Tashkent introduces on-demand salary access service

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An innovative fintech solution aimed at expanding financial access for salaried employees was unveiled during the Banks & Business Expo 2025, held in Tashkent.

The new service enables employees to access a portion of their earned wages before the official payday — interest-free and without taking out a loan.

The solution was presented by Selbin Alakbarova, Product Director at the international fintech company Simbrella, during one of the forum’s sessions. According to Alakbarova, the project is designed to enhance financial flexibility and reduce employees’ reliance on microfinance institutions and short-term loans.

“This is not a loan. It’s access to money already earned. We offer a convenient and ethical tool that can provide real support in daily life — especially in case of urgent expenses,” she emphasized.

The service targets a broad user base across both the private and public sectors. Active efforts are currently underway to launch the solution in Uzbekistan, in partnership with several local banks. Special attention is being paid to local context and compliance with halal financial principles.

One of the central themes of the forum was the accessibility of financial services and personalized solutions. Participants highlighted that flexible salary options help boost financial resilience and strengthen trust in both employers and the banking system.

Banks & Business Expo 2025 serves as an annual platform for dialogue among banking sector representatives, fintech companies, investors, and government agencies, with a focus on developing the region’s financial infrastructure and digital economy.
