Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent hosted an industry event Lenovo Day Tashkent, which brought together international technology vendors, as well as suppliers and system integrators of solutions for data centers, edge-computing, cloud computing and corporate infrastructure solutions in the Central Asian region.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, IDC, Intel, Nutanix and Veeam, as well as delegates from more than 200 corporate sector companies.

During the discussion program of the event, the participants discussed trends and existing challenges for the digital transformation of business in the region, analyzed practical cases of successful implementation of technological solutions and new business models to support the digital ecosystems of enterprises in Uzbekistan, got acquainted with the best infrastructure and service portfolios of Lenovo and Intel for today. increase business resilience during a period of slowdown in supply chains and a changing economic situation.

The special guest of the event was Oleg Pekos, First Deputy Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the digital economy and e-government. In his welcoming speech, he noted: “For rapidly developing countries like Uzbekistan, digitalization represents an unprecedented opportunity to find a new engine of growth and modernize various sectors of the economy. Today we can say with confidence that Uzbekistan is on the path of digital development.”

Speaking about the prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and representatives of the international IT industry, Oleg Pekos added: “It is impossible to imagine the development of digital technologies without the appropriate infrastructure and joint software and hardware solutions. At the same time, it should be noted that the most important aspect in development is increasing the reliability of the digital technologies used, ensuring and increasing productivity and optimizing business processes through their implementation, increasing the level of availability of information systems and resources, and ensuring cybersecurity. The rapid development of digital technologies shows the need to further strengthen the cooperation and cooperation of countries and IT companies. It is events like this that help us ensure this sustainable development by discussing and exchanging views on topical issues of digital transformation.”
