Tashkent hosts plenary session of the second Uzbek-Belarusian Women’s Business Forum

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  As part of the visit of a delegation from the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the plenary session of the second Uzbek-Belarusian Women’s Business Forum took place, themed "From Traditional Business to Green Business." The forum brought together over 500 entrepreneurs.

The event was opened with welcoming speeches by Tanzila Narbayeva, Chairwoman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, and Natalia Kochanova, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus.

During the plenary session, representatives of both governments and heads of ministries and departments emphasized that the outcomes of the Uzbek-Belarusian Women’s Business Forum establish a solid foundation for further developing economic partnerships between the two countries.

Participants highlighted that the cooperation initiated at the first business forum opens up opportunities for the implementation of new promising projects.

The dialogue also focused on expanding cooperation in sectors such as the chemical, pharmaceutical, and woodworking industries, as well as in the exchange of advanced technologies and collaboration among manufacturers.

Special attention was given to the importance of the "green" agenda in the global context. Participants noted the significance of joint work in the fields of electric power and green energy, as well as active interaction in science, education, and innovation.

During the dialogue, proposals were made to establish parliamentary oversight of the implementation of business projects and agreements reached, to exchange experiences, and to expand internship programs for students, teachers, and specialists in various fields, as well as to ensure environmental safety.

Following the plenary session, business circles and entrepreneurs from both countries signed cooperation agreements and commercial contracts in sectors such as services, chemical and woodworking industries, light and food industries, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electric power, and green energy.
