Uzbekistan carries out targeted measures on further developing informatization. Existence of the state support, strengthening business society and civil society institute significantly boosts processes of information society development in Uzbekistan. One of the strategic directions is development of competitive software industry, UzACI said.

The UzACI said that the government of Uzbekistan provides significant tax breaks for software developers, which also helped to increase number of companies in software industry.

The forum was aimed at familiarizing with new developments in software industry, exchange of experience in development and introduction of software products, development of recommendations on institutional support to software industry, etc.

It was noted that the forum is important for further developing information-communication technologies. The forum was attended by specialists and experts of software industry, MPs and state officials.

The forum discussed achievements in the sector. It also included master-classes, presentations and education seminars. During the forum, the participants discussed trends and perspectives of software industry of Uzbekistan, development of software products and IT education.

After the discussions, the participants of the forum adopted recommendations on further development of software industry in Uzbekistan. The recommendations include main directions and practical tasks on use of advantages of software industry.
