The ICT Summit is aimed at creating platform for demonstration of achievement and opportunities for introduction of ICT in various areas and activities, trends in ICT market, etc.

The ICT Summit is one of the important events in the ICT sector, which attracts key players of the sector in Uzbekistan and foreign states, who are interested in establishment of contacts and partnership relations, as well as discuss actual issues in the ICT sector.

Over 600 delegates from Uzbekistan and other states participated at the ICT Summit. Among delegates were representatives of South Korea, China, Russia, Germany, and Kazakhstan.

About 70 reports on four directions – ICT in state sector, Technologies, developments and solutions, Internet and Information resources and Information-library technologies – were presented at the forum. The recommendations and resolutions of the summit were adopted.

The Summit participants discussed such issues as regulatory policies in the ICT field, ICT for social development, development of the software industry, ICT in public administration, development of the media business, e-commerce, e-health care, establishment of specialized scientific-and-technical zones and supportive infrastructure for business and innovational activities, the role of government in this process, and etc.

ICT Summit 2012 was organized by the Coordination Council for development of computerization and ICT, the Committee on information and communication technologies of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis (the Parliament of Uzbekistan), the Uzbek Agency for Communications and Information (UzACI), CIB GROUP Company and the Association of IT Companies and Organizations of Uzbekistan.
