The master classes were carried out with participation of Japanese and Uzbek specialists within the seminar “On training and transferring technologies to preserve cultural heritage in Uzbekistan”.

The master classes were organized by Uzbekistan Art Academy, Japan Foundation, Embassy of Japan in Uzbekistan, Fund for Studying Cultural Heritage and Art (Japan), International Karavan-sarai named after Ikuo Hirayama and Uzbekistan State Museum.

Among the participants were students of higher and secondary special education institutions, employees of scientific establishments and museums, who are engaged in studying, researching and preserving cultural heritage.

The results of the master classes will be summed up at conference “Training of cadres in preserving monuments of cultural heritage, exchanging experience and technologies”, which will be held in Tashkent on 25 September.

The master classes were conducted by Hiroaki Furusho, Shigeo Aoki, Nadoka Inutake, Bakhodir Turgunov, Konstantin Sheyko, etc.

The master classes were aimed at attracting attention of population, including youth, to issues related to preserving cultural heritage and developing of archeology.

During the master classes, the participants received theoretical and practical knowledge on conducting archeological works, methods of protecting cultural heritage, etc. Within a week, the participants participated in practical works.
