Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent is hosting the International Festival of Traditional Fine and Applied Arts.
This year the geography of festival participants has expanded. The event is attended by students of Kemyon University of the Republic of Korea, Ufin State University (Russia), Karaganda University (Kazakhstan) and students of the Klimovichi Children’s School of Fine Arts (Belarus), Children’s Art School of Tulun (Russia), who arrived to develop practical dialogue and cooperation.
As part of the event, an exposition of works by foreign artists is presented in the Central Exhibition Hall, and for the first time in the history of the festival, the Gallery of Fine Arts of Uzbekistan hosts the exhibition “Meeting of Artists of the Turkic World”, which includes works by artists from member countries of the TURKSOY organization (Azerbaijan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan).
The festival, organized jointly with the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan and a number of ministries and organizations, will last until 21 April inclusive.
