Social Initiative Support Fund (SISF), Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Population of Uzbekistan, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, National Association of NGOs of Uzbekistan, Public Fund on Support of NGOs and other civil society institutes under Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan Trade Unions Federation and UN Development Programme (UNDP) organized the event.

The exhibition is aimed at raising awareness of population on activity of social enterprise, promoting their products and services at social enterprises.

The exhibition is attended by representatives of over 34 social enterprises from various regions of Uzbekistan.

The exhibition’s participants expect that current event will help to raise awareness of public on activity of social enterprises, their products and services, and help to find them new partners.

Omadhon Akbaeva, representative of Omad Orzu Ummoni (Andijan region), said: “I opened so many new and interesting at the exhibition. We sew wedding products for brides and produce goods based on demands of consumers.”

Risklihon Juraeva, representative of Sanam Uychi (Namangan region), said that she is trying to rehabilitate traditional patterns and she is in search of new ideas.

Abdurashid Mamajanov, educational-production enterprise “Andijan” (Andijan blinds society), noted that he hopes to increase sales portfolio of the company, which currently employs 90 persons, of them 70 are people with disabilities. He said that there are already some agreements.

The enterprises, which are attending the exhibition, are trying to solve social tasks such as employment of people with disabilities, women in difficult situations, realization of their products, etc.

The exhibition also hosted a roundtable for discussing of development of social enterprises, ensure their sustainability, employment citizens and others. They also considered issues of creating network of social enterprises to ensure their cooperation.
