The event was initiated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Uzbek Association of Engineers-Consultants and Association of Business Consultants of Uzbekistan.

Businesses started to use consulting services after transition to market relations. Consulting service is detailed analysis of situation at enterprises or firms, development of recommendations on improving its financial and management efficiency. Consulting services allow to review situation at the enterprises from outside and rate its state objectively.

At the meeting, it was noted that consulting companies face several problems. During the roundtable, the sides discussed issues of improving legislation on consulting services, mechanism of information exchange, participation of Uzbek companies in projects of international financial institutions.

Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Alisher Shahyhov said that improvement of consulting activity will raise efficiency of small and medium businesses and that’s why it is actual to solve their problems.

At the roundtable, the sides discussed important issues, solving of which will help to develop civilized market of consulting services.
