Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 July, an open door and a meeting on the theme “Development of medical tourism in Uzbekistan” was held at the innovative clinic “DMC”.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the State Tourism Development Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Saidakbarkhon Akbarov, the founder of the clinic Zulfiya Maksudova, the Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan Azim Nazarov and interested travel agencies for medical tourism.

During the meeting, priorities for the further development of this market segment were discussed. Saidakbarkhon Akbarov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Tourism Development, familiarized the participants with the projects of the committee.

The participants of the event noted the possibilities of the Uzbek medical clinics - the professionalism of the doctors, the availability of modern medical equipment in the clinic, as well as an affordable price for medical services. During the discussions, it was noted that in the near future, Uzbekistan could become the most advanced player in Central Asia.

Following the meeting, participants exchanged views on the creation of a marketing project that will be mutually beneficial in the near future. At the end of the event, the clinic organized an info-tour for travel agencies.
