Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 October 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Jovita Neliupsiene.

The parties discussed a wide range of issues on the Uzbekistan-Lithuania agenda, with an emphasis on further strengthening political dialogue, boosting trade and economic cooperation, and expanding cultural and humanitarian ties.

The sides noted the need to take joint measures to deepen cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries and continue the practice of holding political consultations.

The agenda of the negotiations also included issues of interaction between Uzbekistan and Lithuania within the UN and its specialized agencies, as well as the European Union.
