Tashkent host roundtable on development of youth media projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent hosted a roundtable “Role of youth media projects in coverage of state programme “The Year of Well-Being and Prosperity”, which was held within media days, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of National association of electronic mass media of Uzbekistan (NAEMM).

Representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, ministries and departments, public organizations, civil society institutes, NGOs, regional offices of Forum TV, youth TV studios, radio and TV stations, and others participated at the forum.

The event is organized by NAEMM, Fund Forum, Complex of the Cabinet of Ministers on culture, education, healthcare and social protection, Creative union of journalists of Uzbekistan.

At the event, the participants considered interaction of youth-oriented mass media and NGOs at implementation of public initiatives, included to the state programme “The Year of Well-Being and Prosperity”, role of development of youth journalism in further deepening reforms on ensuring freedom of speech and information.

It is worth to mention that it is important to explain tasks of the state programme “The Year of Well-Being and Prosperity”, which was approved by the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov on 14 February 2013.

Non-governmental television and radio stations play key role in coverage of implementation of the project in Uzbekistan. The programme includes organization of Media Camp and media festival Yoshlar Parvozi to attract youth to journalism, improve their skills and knowledge.

It is planned to broadcast and publish over 9,000 reports, 15,000 radio reports, 2,500 author projects and social TV reels to cover implementation of the state programme “The Year of Well-being and Prosperity”.
