Tashkent host meeting on development of e-government
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting dedicated to implementation and effective coordination on formation of electronic government in Uzbekistan has been discussed in Tashkent on 25 January 2013.

Information service of the State Committee on Communication, Information and Telecommunication Technologies of Uzbekistan said that over 150 representatives of ministries and departments, as well as President’s Office and Cabinet of Ministers participated at the meeting.

It was said that development of e-government requires to solve several complex tasks and inter-departmental interaction and the meeting was directed to explain participants on tasks put to develop e-government and international experience in the area.

The participants considered current state of development of complex programme on formation of e-government, determined its basic elements, technologic and implementation stages, mechanisms of inter- departmental information exchange.

During the event, the sides familiarized with methods of inventory of state service and development of regulation on each state services. It was noted that state bodies should speed up development of regulation on rendered interactive state services to standardize all stages, processes and procedures of rendering state services.

The participants considered targeted indicators and figures on introduction of e-government system, which will help to assess efficiency of the state bodies through use of ICT.

The participants also got acquainted with interactive services, rendered by the State Tax Committee and Chamber of Commerce and Industry to individuals and legal entities.

The meeting participants adopted decision, which entrusted state bodies to hold inventory and adopt regulation on state services, develop targeted figures and indicators, etc.
