A training course "Designing Monitoring and Evaluation Plans " was held in Tashkent on 21-24 May.
The course has been prepared and is being conducted by the World Bank Institute and Operations Services and Policy Department, Europe and Central Asia, World Bank.
The seminar was intended to provide an overview of monitoring and evaluation methods. The course provided participants with the basic M&E tools, techniques and resources needed for planning, organizing, and/or managing programs and projects. It demonstrated the links between performance measurement, monitoring and program evaluation.
Through the 4-days course participants became familiar with the basic concepts and methods of monitoring and evaluation; learn how to identify andselect relevant outcomes measures for which it is practical to collect data; be introduced to some practical methods of data collection for use in their work; and learn to put all these steps together in a logical manner using a set of planning tools.
The course was intended for public officials involved in managing and implementing programmes and projects.
