Students, who study German language, from 16 Uzbek universities participated in preliminary stages and the winners were invited to German Embassy for final phase.

The competition is aimed at developing German language in Uzbekistan. Participants should share their opinion on selected topic in German language.

Sixteen finalists made five-minute report on selected topic and answered to questions of jury. Jury rated language level, talent in rhetoric, quality of content and originality of report.

Aysulu Alibekov, a third year student of the Uzbek State World Languages University, claimed the first place. Shakhnoza Sagidullaev, a third year student of Nukus State University, was the second and Rakhmatullo Odilov, a first year student of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, and Nigora Mirzayeva, a fourth-year student of National University, shared third places. All of them received prizes – books and audio discs.
