Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 April 2025, the Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ilzat Kasymov, held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Phan Thi Thanh.

During the conversation, the parties discussed key issues in the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

Successful collaboration with major Vietnamese companies was highlighted, such as Mareven Food Holdings, which is implementing a food production project in the Ahangaran district of Tashkent region, and ROX Group, which is engaged in creating multifunctional residential complexes.

The parties emphasized the importance of further expanding cooperation in sectors such as energy, geology, transportation, and tourism.

As a result of the negotiations, a Plan of Practical Measures for the Development of Trade and Economic Cooperation for 2025-2026 was signed.

The document includes the holding of the eighth session of the Uzbek-Vietnamese Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, and Scientific-Technical Cooperation in the third quarter of the current year, as well as measures for comprehensive preparation for upcoming visits at various levels.
