Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- First Deputy Khokim of Tashkent Bakhtiyor Rakhmonov met with the leadership of the Almaty Region Akimat, headed by Deputy Akim Nurzhan Kudaiberganov.

Bakhtiyor Rakhmonov warmly welcomed the guests and spoke about the projects implemented in cooperation between Tashkent and Almaty, as well as with Kazakhstan as a whole, and further prospects. He gave information about the sphere of urban planning in the capital. He also spoke about the activities of managing service companies, waste collection points, the Mahsustrans enterprise and private companies.

Nurzhan Kudaiberganov noted the changes and renovations in Tashkent, its rapid growth and the construction of the Yangi Toshkent district, and said that it is planned to build a new urban center in the Almaty region, noted the importance of studying the experience of Tashkent in implementing projects in this direction.

Speaking about the Yangi Toshkent project, Bakhtiyor Rakhmonov said that administrative buildings, residential buildings, social and service facilities, IT centers and, in general, all facilities that meet the requirements of a modern urban center will be built in it. He answered the guests' questions about the project and the current improvement of the city.

Nurzhan Kudaiberganov suggested signing a memorandum of cooperation between Tashkent and Almaty and establishing sister city ties.

The parties stated that the practical dialogue would continue.
