Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Airports has acquired two new German-made container loaders for loading/unloading cargo on board and from aircraft with a carrying capacity of up to 35 tons. The maximum height of the lift is 5.6 meters, which allows it to handle all types of aircraft, as well as all types of containers and pallets. In addition, the new machines have the ability to automatically turn pallets and containers on the rear platform, which, in turn, increases the operational productivity of the air harbor.

“The smooth operation of a modern airport directly depends on the ability to handle cargo flows. The performance of the new container handlers is 40% higher than that of similar ground handling facilities. The use of new special equipment will reduce the time for servicing aircraft and increase the efficiency of the air harbor,” the Uzbekistan Airports Special Transport Service said.

It should be recalled that in 2022-2023, Uzbekistan Airports, in order to improve the operational activities of the Tashkent airport, purchased universal cleaning machines at the airfield complex, aircraft de-icing machines, aircraft tugs, airfield baggage tractors, etc. The plans for 2023-2024 include further renovation of airports with new types of special vehicles and aircraft ground handling facilities.
