Tarmak Tekstil to invest into spinning production in Tashkent region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Turkey’s Tarmak Tekstil will organize spinning production at the base of Osborn Textile in Tashkent region of Uzbekistan in 2011.

The project was included to the programme on priorities of industrial development of Uzbekistan in 2011-2015.

In line with the programme, Turkish company will direct US$7 million investments to the project. The capacity of the production will make up 2,100 tonnes of cotton yarn a year.

Osborn Textile is the textile company of Tarmak Group (Turkey) located in Uzbekistan. Osborn Textile is specialized to manufacture 100% cotton yarn, dyed yarn and cotton, towels and bathrobes.

Annual capacity of the plant is 3,600 tonnes of 100% combed and carded cotton yarn, 5,100 tonnes of dyed cotton yarn (including 900 tonnes of dyed cotton), and 1,020 tonnes of towels and bathrobes.

Currently, the products, manufactured at Osborn Textile, are exported to the companies of Turkey, Russia, Italy, Greece, Germany, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Saudi Arabia and Poland.

In line with the target figures of industrial development of Uzbekistan for 2011-2015, Uzbekistan plans to increase cotton yarn production by 2.6 times to 524,000 tonnes by 2015.

The volume of industrial goods production in light industry will grow from 3.927 trillion soums in 2010 to 7.875 trillion soums in 2015. Share of light industry in industrial production will increase from 12.8% in 2010 to 15.6% in 2015.
