The press service of Uzbektelecom said that from 20 October 2017, new tariffs for universal telecommunications services have been introduced.
The new prices were approved by the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan.
According to the new price-list, the monthly subscription fee for population for using the fixed phone with time-based payment system will grow from 2,350 to 3,000 soums and with the subscriber payment system - from 3,090 soums to 4,000 soums.
The monthly subscription fee for the population in the villages with time-based payment system increases from 1,035 soums to 1,350 soums and with a subscriber payment system from 1,520 to 2,000 soums.
Prices for international telephony will double. For example, the cost of a minute of call to Central Asian countries will increase from 500 soums to 1,000 soums. The minute of conversation with subscribers in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus will now cost 1,100 soums (now - 550 soums) and in European countries – 2,280 soums (now – 1,140 soums).
Tariffs for telegraph services also increased by twofold. Prices for long-distance calls within Uzbekistan were not changed.
